             Special Needs Planning

The Law Office of Michael Camporeale, P.C., can help you with all of your Special Needs Planning for your child. If I loved one has special needs and is receiving governmental benefits, a special needs trust can make sure that your loved one can inherit, and not loss his or hers governmental benefits.

Once a child with special needs reaches the age of 18, he or she will need an article 17A Guardian appointed for them to make all medical and financial decisions, including where they will live etc.. Just because a parent has been that person prior to the age of 18, it will not give them the full legal authority going forward. An actual Court proceeding is necessary to have the parent or another individual appointed the legal guardian of that person who has now reached the age of 18.
